Chef patissier and founding partner of L’Atelier Barcelona, as well as a school and patisserie with Ximena Pastor, Eric Ortuno began his career in 1986 with Jean François Arnaud (MOF) as a teacher.
From 1993 to 1997, he was the chef patissier to Yves Thuries, one of the most renowned patissiers in France.
In Barcelona, he was chef patissier at the Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I. From 2000 to 2018, he was responsible for patisserie studies and patissier at the Hofmann Hotel School in Barcelona.
In 2019, as founding partner, training director and chef patissier, he opened the Atelier in the heart of the Eixample in Barcelona where patisserie, school and atelier come to meet in a revolutionary, unique and avant-garde space.
Eric Ortuño then shows his more creative side and brings his know-how in the field of training. In 2020, L’Atelier Barcelona received the Fava de Cacau prize.
